House of Batte was founded in 2023 by Shivani , a fashion lover with a passion for timeless style. Jane had always been drawn to classic pieces that could be worn season after season, and she believed that there was a gap in the market for a store that focused solely on classic women’s clothing. She opened the first store in Bangalore, where it quickly became a local favorite.

The First Drape

Growing up in a quintessential South Indian home, we watched sarees transform every occasion. The colours, the grace and the confidence made every drape feel special. It was never just an outfit — it was a feeling. As little girls, we wrapped cloth around ourselves, pretending it was a saree. Perhaps that was our first spark — the beginning of discovering who we were becoming.
